Introduction
There is still not much information about the Thut’s from Sempach (Lucerne). And I am also still not able to connect the Seengen Thut Line or the from Linthal with the Line from Sempach. It’s also almost certain that there is no relation between the Thut’s from Sempach and the battle of Sempach 1386, where Niklaus Thut from Zofingen was involved.
An Abraham Thut once was sheriff of Sempach (Lucerne).
In the book «Hof- und Geschlechterbuch der Gemeinde Sempach» you can find some Thut’s who owned farms in the environments of Sempach.
There also exists a «Thuet»-line in France which must origin from the Thut line from Sempach.
Further information will follow in a due time.
Heraldry
In the swiss genealogical-heraldry web-catalog (www.chgh.net) there are two family crests about the Thut from Sempach (But they must be the same).
