There exists two Thut Parks in Wisconsin, USA.
One is in the city of Ladysmith, WI and the other one is in Madison, WI (about 4 hours drive of Ladysmith).
Both Parks are named after Samuel H. Thut (1901 – 1994), who came from the Medford Thut line (Thut from Oberentfelden) and was a teacher.
The city of Ladysmith traded some abandoned rail right of way for the parkland and named the park for Samuel H. Thut who had owned it.
Later Samuel H. Thut lived in Madison where he had a house. In 1989 he donated a parcel of land near his house that provides a safe pedestrian entrance to the park from Woodley Lane.
