The founder of the Thut line from Oberentfelden was Burckhart Thut (*08/05/1638). He came from the Seengen Line and married in first marriage Barbel Fischer (+1662) from Meisterschwanden AG. He founded a line in Meisterschwanden, which might be extinct today. After death of his first wife he married in second marriage Maria Schälin from Suhr AG. With Maria he started the large Thut line from Oberentfelden.
There are some descendents from the Oberentfelden Line who emigrated. Samuel Thut (1837 – 1920), founder of the old scrubber factory in Oberentfelden, which emigrated in 1883 to Medford, Wisconsin, USA. Also three sons of Kaspar Thut (1792 – 1864), which emigrated together to Sao Paulo, Brasilien in 1855. Gustav Adolf Thut (1839 – 1862), emigrated to St. Louis, USA and died with 23 years. Johann Friedrich Thut (*1892), who emigrated to Santiago, Chile and whose descendents or a part of it lives back in Switzerland today. Also Kaspar Thut (1770 – 1855), who emigrated to Philadelphia, USA. And Johann Rudolf Thut (*01/08/1775) who emigrated to a unknown place.
Several other noteworthy Thut’s from the Oberentfelden line are Emil Thut (meatman in Aarau). His descendents had Aarau as their new Bürgerort / Heimatort (place of origin). Also doctor Paul Hermann Thut (1904 – 1981), his like the father of the Swissair Thut pilot family. Or the line from Heinrich Arnold Thut (*11/18/1875), whose descendants founded the Thut + Thut Architekten (architects) in Munich, Germany. There was also Oskar Thut and Rosa Schweizer who had a textil shop in the center of Oberentfelden. Their son Franz continued until the 70th on the Engelsplatz in Oberentfelden.
